What a pathetic nation we are!! It was the first thing came to my mind when I read an account about QANDEEL BALOCH's murder, in which the writer was compelling her murder as one of a normal thing in our society and mirroring a completely off base condition of women in our society.
I must say that the blogger hardly has explored outside her air conditioned culture or even exposed to the real culture of Pakistan away from the skyscrapers of capitals. She forcefully labelled it as an honor killing slurring over the accused brief media talk. It was not in the name of honor but for the sake of money (as the accused said in the press conference that she did not support him and he ran away with her money after the murder) now he is hiding behind her unethical activities to get away with his cruel act and to have the public opinion in his favor. And what Mufti QAWI had to do with this murder. Why liberals are blaming him? Even in her life time he did not use any harsh word for herself instead a blame game from both the sides. I am not saying that it is fine to murder someone for money or even in the name of honor. A crime is always a crime and should be treated as a crime. If her activities were indecent according to our society even than her doom is painful. But the point is that it is not about Pakistan or any third nation in the world, it is about the Superiority COMPLEX of a male.I am not supporting such crimes but pardon me even in the MOST CIVILIZED WESTERN NATIONS (which have strong hankering among our people), women also face harassment physically and verbally. Ladies are also raped and young girls are molested. There are also killing in the name of honor(or even only for being a feminine). That was the basis of the birth of the feminist moment in the United States of America. Even in their society, it is the female member who is used to abuse forlornly like us. For a while, suppose the situation is not like this than why always son of bitch!!!not son of dog??? Why always a motherfucker not a fatherfucker(even my dictionary didn't accept it)?? Not a pimp why a whore?? Why always a cunt not a ....??
In our society, we have strong family relations,so some psychos even go to abuse their female siblings or family members. That is so pitiful.This is not a very luscious situation and should be obliterated at once but to blame the society or its norms is not right. I have seen people respecting female members of society here more than anywhere else. We have problems in our society which need to be coped with, but lighting a candle, mocking the society in articles (most probably for the fame because hardly anyone of the groaning people attended her funeral) or shouting on media, is not the solution. Such thing should be addressed through proper channel.Once again, I am not supporting such acts but stop mocking your country!!!!
