"Martyrdom of vibrant and charismatic Kashmiri leader Burhan Wani has given a new turn to the Kashmiri movement". It was Nawaz Shareef speaking at the UN back in 2016. He referred Burhan Wani as a "young leader" and said he has "emerged as the symbol of the latest Kashmiri Intifada, a popular and peaceful freedom movement."
Accept it or not, it was Nawaz Shareef ( & his team especially Gr. Rtd. Junjua NSA & Sirtaj Aziz Advisor FA) who made Burhan Wani a hero in Pakistan. Also he had the courage to portray him as a "Freedom Fighter" in UNSC & gave him the place he rightly deserved at the world's stage. Now Imran Khan's craven approach towards Kashmir is strikingly annoying. His only achievement on Kashmir is just his speech without papers. He failed thoroughly in the perception building & now afraid or inept of making bold and strong decisions. The extremely incapable NSA, imported from the USA, doesn't consider Kashmir an issue even worthy of a worthless tweet. Foreign Minister is enjoying aftar parties at his farmhouse. Probably a closed Foreign Office because of COVID & a sleeping spokesman. Opposition parties are also confused. The blue eyed person of PMLN, Ahsan Iqbal, is worried because someone sent him the famous grifty message circulating in Pakistan for the last thirteen years. Opposition leader is thinking he was trapped by asking him to be the prime minister on a mobile message. Riaz Naikoo needs a state level tribute. He is a hero. His stature and impact on the youth of Kashmir is probably beyond Wani. He was the force who actually bound Hizb as a strong force after Wani and spread across the valley, not just in the South.

Kashmir is enraged. The second wave of atrocities & communication blockade in the occupied valley and inaction of Pakistani political and military authorities are chilling to the marrow. Where is the pro-active diplomacy and "I will not let Kashmir alone" narrative of the government? Admit it Pakistan was not prepared for what happened on 26th Feb or on 05th Aug. It's a complete failure. To quote Gr. Rtd. Ahsanul Haq " We must be realistic and vigilant of the hegemonic and bigoted narrative of hindutva, so that we will not be surprised again". Enough of this Peace Mantra. No one cares about it anymore. Stop acting like a hen with its head cut-off whenever India does something gross. The world has double or may be triple standards when it comes to India. India's posture is inflated because of its inaccurate posture of the central security state in the South China Sea and is emboldened by the "PAST" economic achievements and weak stance of Pakistan. The security and intelligence failures of India is evident from the fact that it was unable to apprehend Naiko for the last ten years during the ongoing insurgency. Yes; seven lac top guns failed against one local rebel and it took them 12 hours to kill him even when trapped.
Pakistan doesn't require a knee jerk reaction rather a strong and active diplomatic as well as a clandestine policy to curtail India in its limits otherwise this achilles heel of badgering India "Peace, Peace" is not going to help. The nature of Indo Pak relations is reciprocatory. Stop being a blind bat. Act!
